“This is the experience of religion: the wonder, the meeting with someone who’s waiting for you . . . . You look for Him, but He has already been looking for you.” Pope Francis

We have a human need to search for meaning in life. We have a human need to search for God. In Catholic theology, when we follow the teachings of Jesus, we find God. Content for instruction and discussion throughout the Catechumenate process includes:
* What is church?
* The life and teachings of Jesus Christ
* Sacraments —
the fullest expression of our faith
* Holy Scripture
* Worship traditions
* Prayer
* Blessed Virgin Mary and the saints
* Church history
* Moral theology — conscience, decision-making, social justice, life
In coming weeks, this column will feature content highlights as inquirers learn about them and consider how to apply them in their lives.
